Inspiration: (3 TrainComing)
This piece came from a photograph which reminded me of my last two years of high school. Each weekday morning on my way to school at this very subway station, my anticipation for the 3 train to come was always at a peak, especially on Monday mornings hoping to see my name on the 3 subway train cars I tagged up on the previous Friday night at the 3 train yard. Another thing about this experience was the number 2 train also came through this station but the way I could tell from the lights was because the 2 train lights would come from the right (East) of that tunnel because it was coming from the Bronx...the 3 train lights came straight so I would always know when it was the 3 train. This piece sparks feelings of excitement, self pride, defiance and purpose.
