This piece was created from a photograph of the Apollo Theatre. I had to recreate the photo because the photo was missing the flavor and fun surrounding and glowing from the Apollo. So many great memories of being there and even though the Harlem streets was a show in itself, the Apollo Theatre was always a show like no other. It's was where we'd show up, to show out fashion wise that is. The new talent on amateur night was the extra sauce, with the established artist that would pop up would just bring more flavor to Harlem these nights. This piece pretty much represents what I would like to call "Harlem's Hippodrome."
