This was from a photo of the "block" that I grew up on. The inspiration came from knowing that this corner was a source of employment for many kids and young adults when I was growing up. Even though the "employment" wasn't always legal it was a source for young boys to feed and clothe themselves which made this block important to a lot during this time.
